Override a Therapeutic Interchange Substitution
After you select which regimen to order or after you select a draft Regimen Order, iKnowMed prompts you to set up the medications in the Regimen Order. iKnowMed substitutes medications based on the effective Preferred Medications and Payer Rules when loading this list of medications. Each medication substitution is indicated by

To override a medication substitution:
Uncheck the
substituted medication.Check the medication you want to order.
In the medication prompt that appears, choose the Override Reason.
Enter Comments about the override.
Click SAVE.
