About the Documents Chart Tab

The Documents chart tab is where you find:

  • Clinical Notes (Progress notes, Follow-up notes, Phone notes, etc.)

  • Scanned Lab and Imaging Results

  • Research documents

  • Other documents

What you see first when you go to the Documents tab depends on a few factors. The Document Filters and other sub-tabs on the Documents chart tab are all about organizing Notes and Documents to help you find them quickly.

  • If you saved a note as a draft, the Drafts sub-tab is selected first when you go to the Documents chart tab regardless of any Default Document Filter setting.

  • If there is no Draft Note, then your preferred Document Filter sub-tab is selected first.

  • If you have not set a preferred Document Filter, then the Show All sub-tab is selected. Show All contains almost all notes and documents associated with the chart.

  • The Recently Deleted sub-tab displays but is not selected if someone recently removed a Note or Document.
