Regimen Management

Often times after the initial chemotherapy regimen is ordered, the drugs used and their dosage as well as the frequency and duration of the orders may change. Managing Regimens includes editing, scheduling, approving, starting, holding, discontinuing, suspending and/or ending regimens.

We will start in the patient's Flowsheet with Displaying the Original Regimen Order.

Display Original Regimen Order

To view the initial order for a regimen, on the Flowsheet, click the Cycle/Day header, and then click Display original order.

The Initial Regimen Order Detail (the second image) lists each medication as it was initially ordered, including the Dose, Instructions, Schedule, and more.

Change Regimen Schedule

There are many reasons why a treatment schedule changes. You have the ability to move a single treatment to a different day or to move all subsequent treatments in a regimen to different days.

Click the Cycle/Day header for the appropriate date of service.
