About the Providers Demographics Section
Provider information allows you to add and edit a patient's Internal and External Provider Information." to "The Providers section, under Demographics, is where you indicate your patient's Internal and External providers and view their Provider History.
Documented Internal Providers display:
Last Name, First Name (Provider/Role)
Provider Type
Effective Date
Except for the Inactive Date field, Internal Provider information entered in this section is overwritten regularly with information from the practice management system interface.
An External Provider can be a physician, hospital, clinic or other off-site location.
Once added, you may select the provider for faxing, referrals, and as an External Provider within the Demographics tab.
