

About the Orders Interface
The Orders Interface (a.k.a., Orders I/F and OLIF) streamlines the process of sending orders to a Lab Information System (LIS) by eliminating the need to manually re-enter orders into the LIS. The Orders Interface also reduces the risk of test selection errors and ensures orders accurately link to their results.
After an order is processed out of the Orders Queue, the Orders I/F Worklist Queue is where lab staff (or scheduling staff in coordination with the lab) go to identify orders to be sent to the LIS (via the Orders Interface) a day or two before an appointment.
