Order Sets

About Order Sets and Order Panels

An Order Set:

  • Is a group of things that are commonly ordered together

  • Makes it easy to order multiple related tests and services at once

  • Is unique to one person or shared by everyone at your practice

An Order Panel:

  • Is a group of things that are commonly ordered individually

  • Usually contains similar things, such as the Diagnostic Imaging, Labs, or Medications that you most commonly order

  • Is unique to one person or shared by everyone at your practice

A Mobile Panel is an Order Panel that displays in the iKnowMed Mobile app.

Order Sets and Order Panels are used in the New Orders and Medications sub-tabs under the Orders chart tab.

The Order Sets area is where you create and maintain the Order Sets, Order Panels, and Mobile Panels defined for your practice.
