Onboard a Research Monitor

This guide includes all the steps for setting up a Research Monitor to use iKnowMed. Before you begin to set up someone up as a Research Monitor, it is helpful to know the following info about that person.

1. Name: First, Middle, Last, and Suffix

2. Email Address is used for password resets and should be an address they can easily access.

Next, create a Research Monitor User Profile to use for all Research Monitor accounts and create a Patient List for the Research Monitor.

A Research Monitor should have view only access in iKnowMed and should only have access to a specific set of charts, along with a few other important caveats. The following steps show how to set up a Research Monitor user account to meet those requirements.
