Calculate Target AUC

Change the dose if necessary by manually typing in the Dose field.

The Dose can also be selected using the QUICK SIG PICK button.

The creatinine result is populated from the patient chart (Flowsheet) based on the result from the lab interface. If the test was performed at an outside lab, type the result in the S. Creatinine field.

Click ADJUST DOSE to make additional modifications to the dosing information.

In the Dose Calculator/Formula Amount/Adjust window make changes to the:

• Dose Amount and Unit information

• Creatinine Clearance Calculation Method

• Serum Creatinine value

• Adjusted Amount

To round the Result, use the Adjusted Amount field. Click UPDATE ORDER  to save the changes.

To order Carboplatin for a patient with a serum creatinine less than 0.7 mg/dl, the system will calculate the dose based on the patient's actual serum creatinine result and the NCCN recommendation.

After modifying the medication, click NEXT ORDER to advance to the next medication in the regimen.

Click OK to return to the list of medications in the treatment and update another medication or complete the ordering process. 

From the Regimen Ordering screen, you also have the option to click on the dose to bring up the Quick Sig list to modify the dose and Target AUC information.

To update the Dose manually from the regimen order screen, click the Calculated Dose then Adjust Dose and enter the information in the Adjusted Amount field.

Click OK after entering the Adjusted Amount to update the Dose.
