If you will not be able to respond to internal Practice Messages for a time, use the Automatic Replies preference to let staff know you are unavailable.
With Automatic Replies set up:
When someone adds you to a message, iKnowMed displays "OOO mm/dd/yyyy–mm/dd/yyyy" after your name.
When they send the message, iKnowMed responds with your Automatic Reply Message .
The availability of the Automatic Replies feature is controlled by the Out of Office Messages practice preference. A person with iKnowMed Super User Permissions is required to help activate or deactivate this feature. Please contact your Account Manager or iKnowMed Support for further action.
To enable the Automatic Replies preference:
Navigate to Practice Preferences > Other Features .
Set Out of Office Messages to Enabled .
Click SAVE .
To set up Automatic Replies :
Navigate to Message Center User Preferences .
The display of the Automatic Replies user preference is controlled by the Practice Messages permission under General permissions . The table below describes how the None , View , and Full permission settings affect the display of the Automatic Replies preference in the Message Center user preference.

Show the Practice Messages tab in the Message Center . Show the Automatic Replies preference in Message Center user preferences.
Toggle Automatic Replies to On .
Set Start Date and Time for when iKnowMed should respond with your Automatic Reply Message .
Set End Date and Time to when iKnowMed should stop sending Automatic Replies .
Under Automatic Reply Message , create a message for iKnowMed to respond with.
Click SAVE .
When you return to the Practice Messages tab, iKnowMed shows that Automatic Replies is enabled.
