Open a Task

Each row in the General Queue task list is a task for patient. A patient appears in the list once for each task associated with them.

To open a Task, click the row.

Flag

A task may have a Flag:

  • An empty circle indicates the task is Unassigned.

  • A dot indicates the task is Assigned to you.

  • An envelope indicates the Patient is awaiting a reply.

Status

Each open task has a Status of NEW or IN PROGRESS.

Restricted Chart

A lock icon next to a patient name indicates the access to the chart is controlled by your iKnowMed "Restrict Patient Chart Access" permission. If you have the access, then opening a task for a restricted patient prompts for a reason.

The task list sorts by Priority, with the highest priority tasks listed first.
