Compose a Practice Message

To create a message, click COMPOSE.

Enter Practice Message Details

To enter the details of a Practice Message use a Message Template to save time with commonly sent messages and/or enter the details manually. Then, save or send the message.

Select a Message Template

If the message you want to send has a template:

  1. Click Select Template.

  2. To show only your templates, check Show my templates only.

  3. When you see the template you want to use, click USE.

  4. Click CLOSE.

With the Message Template selected, enter or change any details manually.

  1. In To, find and select each recipient.

  1. Set Priority.

  2. If the message is a task to be completed by a recipient, check Request follow up on this message.

  1. Enter the Subject.

  2. To associate the message with a patient, find and select a patient in Regarding patient. To remove a patient from a message, click the Remove (X) icon next to the patient.

  3. Enter the content of the message in Message Body.

Save a Message Template to Create a Reusable Message

A Message Template is a quick way to create a message that includes the same Recipients, Subject, Message Body, Priority, and/or Follow Up request.

To save the message as a template:

  1. Click SAVE AS TEMPLATE.

  2. Under Save message contents as template, check the box for each field you want to include in the template.

  1. Edit the Message Body.

  2. To save this template as an existing template, choose Replace existing template.

  3. To create a new template, choose Create new template and enter a Template Name.

  4. To make this template available for just you, choose Save for me only.

  5. To make this template available to one other person, choose Save for user and then find and select that person.

  6. To make this template available to everyone, choose Save for everyone in my practice.

  7. Click SAVE.

Send or Save a Message

To send the message, click SEND.

To save the message to the Draft folder without sending it, click SAVE AS DRAFT.
