Charge Capture charges are not clearing

FAQ: Why are Charge Capture charges not clearing due to a missing appointment?

Steps to Resolve:

  1. Access the Visit List or Chart Summary:

    • Navigate to the Patient Appointment widget.

    • Filter to the date of service relevant to the charge capture report.

  2. Check Appointment Status:

    • In the Status drop-down menu, select "Cancelled."

    • Look for any appointments marked as canceled that have an E/M code and/or Procedure documented.

  3. Edit the Appointment:

    • Change the status of the appointment to "Edit."

    • Click on the Billing code.

    • Click “Clear” in the bottom right corner to remove the billing code.

    • Close the billing dialogue box.

    • Return the appointment status to "Cancelled."
